Band members Matthew Bellamy, Christopher Wolstenholme and Dominic Howard from Teignmouth, each received an Honorary Doctorate of Arts from the University of Plymouth. Stood alongside student graduates at the sun-basked event on the Hoe, the trio were dressed in the traditional gowns and hats. The special appearance was kept top secret from students. The first many were made aware of the visit was when they sat in the giant event marquee and saw Muse mentioned in the literature. Thousands of graduates have received their degrees in high-profile ceremonies on the Hoe this week. David Coslett, the Dean of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Plymouth, said: “Muse are recognised as being not only one of the most exciting live bands in the world, but also a band which pushes musical boundaries and they have won many awards reflecting this, including five MTV Europe Music Awards, four Q Awards, four NME Awards and two Brit awards. “The University of Plymouth is delighted to be able to give its public recognition of their achievements by awarding them honorary degrees.” взято тут переведу чуть позже, за ссылку спасибо Crocus ЗЫ. фотки просто убийственные
